Tamara Philip is Director of Programs at Global School Leaders, a nonprofit organisation working to improve school leadership in the Global South. Tamara develops resources for school leaders, supports GSL’s partners in developing their programs, and leads GSL’s work on school leader coaching, and foundational literacy and numeracy. Before joining GSL, Tamara was a teacher and leader. In her previous roles she has taught students, coached and supported teachers and middle leaders, helped found a social enterprise school for girls, and supported other non profit organizations with their own teachers’ professional development.
Tamara holds an MA in Global Education and International Development from the University of Warwick, a PGCE in Secondary Education from Oxford Brookes University, and a PhD in Biochemistry and BSc in Molecular Cell Biology from University College London.
