Heidi Dorow is the deputy director of the Abundant Futures Fund. Heidi has over 20 years of philanthropy and advocacy experience in a range of human rights issues including immigration, LGBT rights, child welfare, and juvenile justice.
From 2016-2020, Heidi was the director of the Immigration Litigation Fund at Borealis Philanthropy and from 2005-2016, she served as a senior program officer for LGBT issues at the philanthropic advising firm, Wellspring Advisors. During that time, Heidi was a leader in philanthropic efforts to support intersectional social justice advocacy and served in a leadership capacity in funder collaboratives such as the State Equality Fund, the Four Freedoms Fund, and the Communities for Just Schools Fund. Prior to her time at Wellspring Advisors, Heidi worked at a number of social justice organizations, advocating for social safety-net programs for low-income New Yorkers, union protections for low-wage workers, and housing and services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
