Development professional and feminist with experience in community development, foundation management, public policies and sustainability.
Ana is a sustainability professional with experience in designing social and sustainability strategies for companies, foundations, government and NGO, and promoting partnerships and advocacy. Currently, Ana is the Coca-Cola Latin America Sustainability and Foundation Sr. Manager, leading regional sustainability strategies focused on water conservation and access, inclusive recycling, and the economic empowerment of women, as well as leading The Coca-Cola Foundation work in the region.
Ana has a masters in Comparative Public Policy from the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO Mexico) and a bachelors's degree in International Relations and minors in human rights from Knox College (United States). Previous to working in Coca-Cola, Ana worked with local and global civil society organizations such to promote community development, family farming, gender and gender equality in communities in Mexico and across the world.
Ana has worked with civil society organizations such as The Hunger Project, CASA, Bajio Community Foundation, and Fundación Tarahumara José A. Llaguno.
As the Public Policy and Advocacy manager for the Hunger Project Mexico where she advocated for gender-focused community-led development, the empowerment of rural women and local participatory democracy. Ana coordinated and participated in international and national networks related to family farming, the right to food, international development and cooperation, gender and climate change and community development
Ana has lived in six countries and speaks three languages (English, Spanish and French) and is part of the Kellogg Fellows Leadership Alliance (KFLA).
