Dave is a partner at New Ether Studios and specializes in strategic consulting across a variety of technology and business domains. He is dedicated to enhancing our humanity through technology. Dave spent many years at Fujitsu where he served as VP and co-leader of Fujitsu’s ‘Open Innovation Gateway.’ There he pioneered projects ranging from computerized negotiation systems to sensor-based healthcare, from automated ontology generation to novel interface methodologies.
Dave was a writer and producer with WGBH’s Nova Science Team, and Mellon Visiting Professor at Caltech. Roles with Silicon Valley Startups have included founder, VP-Production and creative lead at Worlds Inc., and founder at Disappearing Inc.
An Internet Archive Fellow, Dave was selected as one of Time Magazine’s “Digital Dozen” – one of the 12 most influential people in the digital world. He has more than 60 patents with over 7,500 forward references.
