Damaris is an experienced professional with over two decades of programming experience in the fields of ECD, education, and community development. Damaris is currently the ECD Specialist and education focal point person at ChildFund International Kenya office. Through her role, Damaris provides technical leadership in design, planning, implementation, and monitoring of ECD and education interventions to ChildFund’s 11 Local Implementing Partners operating in 26 counties. Damaris has a master’s degree in education planning from University of Nairobi; a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kenyatta University; a certificate of completion in Science of ECD (SECD) from Aga Khan University Institute of Human Development; certificate of completion in Justice Based Approach from United Edge; and a Teacher’s Certificate in Early Childhood Education from Embu DICECE (District Center for Early Childhood Education). Damaris is a trainer of trainers for Care for Child Development. Damaris is undertaking her PhD in Early Childhood Studies at Kenyatta University.
