After graduating from Harvard University and completing a tour of duty in the USMC, Henry spent 7 years as a community organizer in an Hispanic community in Brooklyn NY. He was a member of the charter class at Yale’s School of Management and spent the next 25 years in public finance at the First Boston Corp and Lehman Brothers. He worked primarily in the affordable housing area, underwriting state agency financings and syndicating the Federal Low Income Tax Credit. From 2002 to 2010 he was a consultant with Forsyth Street Advisors where he worked on innovative financial structures that attracted private capital into community development financings. Throughout his career Henry was focused on the power of small businesses to revitalize low income communities. For 20 years he served on the Board of Accion East and Accion US (leaders in the micro finance field). Today he is a member of the Westport (MA) Affordable Housing Trust Fund Board.
