Rodrigo has been the Global Director of the Luis von Ahn Foundation since September 2021. He has close to 20 years’ experience working in the field of social development and justice.

Rodrigo holds an M.D. degree from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, and an M.B.A. degree from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and completed a fellowship in research at Harvard Medical School.

Proudly Rodrigo has continuously served on nonprofit board for the last 15 years. Having served on the boards of the Guatemalan National Cancer League, Rotary Club Guatemala de la Ermita, WINGS Guatemala and its local affiliate Alas Guatemala, SERES Global, the Antigua International School, and Fos Feminista. His current board and advisory services include Population Connection in Washington DC, and The Erik E. and Edith H. Bergstrom Foundation in Atherton, California.  

He and his wife, Manola, are raising two feminist sons in Antigua Guatemala.
