Parnasha leads Dasra’s collaborative efforts on inclusive sanitation and climate intersectionality, working with over 100+ NGO partners, 5+ funders including philanthropy/foundations and intermediary groups to enable ecosystem outcomes pertaining to the needs of the most vulnerable for climate and WSH in India. Over the past years, she has played an instrumental role in identifying and delivering strategic priorities across these thematic areas, having influenced over 20+ policies/ schemes across national and state government in India and expand Dasra’s footprint to South Asia through collaborative platforms. She was instrumental in setting up Dasra’s Climate vertical with a strong civil society base focussed on intersectionality and the need for community resilience. At Dasra, she manages a team of over 30 people and has been able to influence close to $10 million to these areas for the sector. She brings in over a decade of experience in the development sector having worked in organizations like WWF India and Safe Water Network in the past. Her formative years focused on implementation on ground having worked with over 200 farmers in the Uttar Pradesh belt of India strengthening their agriculture practices for better Climate adaptation, while at WWF – India. She was further been instrumental in setting up the Knowledge, Monitoring & Learning vertical at Safe Water Network India and led on ground campaigns in states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in over 25 schools to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water through IEC & BCC tools. Parnasha is a Bachelor's in Science from Miranda House, Delhi University and a Master’s in Policy & Governance from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has successfully finished her Executive Education course in Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management from Harvard Business School.
