Nicholas Carlisle is the founder and CEO of Power of Zero, an international non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of children in the digital age. Childhood is undergoing its biggest transition since the industrial revolution, with children going online from their earliest years. By the age of eight children average five hours a day online. Power of Zero is creating a classroom program to give young children (ages 4 through 8) the life skills they need to navigate their online offline lives and a digital parenting program to guide parents how to safely introduce children to the online world and establish the cyber habits they need for their wellbeing. Nicholas graduated from Oxford University, trained as a human rights lawyer and practiced as a child therapist, and was chairman of the Amnesty International Charitable Trust. Nicholas has given a TEDx talk on bullying, and received recognition from Toms as a Game Changer, from Ashoka as a Champion of Children’s Wellbeing and from Hearts on Fire as a visionary.
