Nathan Metenier (he/they) is the co-Director of the Youth Climate Justice Fund, a movement-accountable fund supporting youth-led socio-environmental solutions globally. As a former member of the UN Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change (2020-2023), Nathan has been at the forefront of several climate advocacy moments. He is the founder of Generation Climate Europe, the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level.
Nathan serves on the boards and advisory councils of various leading organizations, including the Global Greengrants Fund, Goals House, IKEA, Ørsted, and Environment Funders Canada. He was also the co-chair of the youth pre-COP26 and previously served on the boards of the European Environmental Bureau and Youth and Environment Europe.
Recognized for his contributions, Nathan was nominated for the "Young European of the Year 2020" award. He holds an MA in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and is a fellow of the 776 Foundation and the Environmental Grantmakers Association. Nathan is also a certified development coach with Integral Coaching Canada, bringing a holistic approach to his work in climate justice and LGBTQI2S+ advocacy.
