Nancy Rosenfeld’s 50 year career in public service has spanned the fields of health, justice, education, community, politics, culture, and philanthropy. She served as President of the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Family Foundation for over 20 years. During this time she also served as Vice President Canadian Affairs the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies and Executive Director of the Samuel and Saidye Bronfman Family Foundation. Working with 3 generations of one family has allowed her to develop insight and expertise on dynamics and decision-making styles across generations.
Ms. Rosenfeld has created and initiated innovative programs in support of emerging environmental leaders, visual artists and entrepreneurs. She is actively involved in climate change advocacy, and anti-racism education and solutions. She presents at universities and conferences on strategic philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, family philanthropy and engagement of the next generation in social change and philanthropic endeavors. She has served as a judge for numerous entrepreneur and social change competitions, including the Bloomberg Genesis Generation Challenge, 2 editions of 100&Change, Startupfest Montreal, the Women Deliver Social Enterprise Contest and the CRRF National Anti-Racism Grants.
Ms. Rosenfeld’s volunteer involvement is extensive. She Presently sits on the Board of The Canadian Race Relations Foundation and Festival TransAmeriques. She has sat on the board of directors of Philanthropic Foundations Canada, the Trans Canada Trail, the Sir Mortimer B. Davis - Jewish General Hospital Foundation, The Montreal Symphony Orchestra, The Foreign Relations Council of Montreal and The Centre for Israel and Jewish Advocacy. Ms. Rosenfeld was named among the Top 20 de la Diversité Media Mosaïque and is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and The RBC Leadership Award for exemplary service to her community and country.
