Melissa Beaumont Lee is head of the newly formed Skip Foundation, a private philanthropy that intends to make audacious philanthropic investments in root-cause-focused solutions to such pressing issues as health, environment, catalysing philanthropy and equality of opportunity. Melissa is well-placed in this effort, having launched the corporate foundation for Atlassian, where she met her current principals Kim Jackson and Scott Farquhar, more than a decade ago. Prior to that, she was a broadcast journalist, including at the BBC in London. Her personal mission statement is "to give voice to the voiceless".
